Port of Halifax preparing to welcome largest cruise call to date

June 6, 2022, Halifax, Nova Scotia – The Royal Caribbean International Oasis of the Seas is due to arrive at the Port of Halifax at 8:00 a.m. on June 7, 2022. At 360 metres length overall, 226,838 tonnes and with carrying capacity of over 5600 cruise guests plus crew, this will be the largest cruise vessel to call on Halifax. She is the fourth largest cruise vessel in the world.

Harbour watchers will be able to catch the arrival of the Oasis of the Seas from Point Pleasant Park around 7:30 a.m. and the southern end of the Halifax Waterfront at about 7:45 a.m. Departure is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.

Members of the media are invited to attend an inaugural presentation with the captain of the vessel at 1:00 p.m. This ceremony will take place on the rooftop of The PIER at the Seaport, 1209 Marginal Road, Halifax.
