Changes announced to Halifax Cruise season

March 13, 2020, Halifax, Nova Scotia – The 2020 cruise season at the Port of Halifax will be delayed until July 1. This does not apply to smaller vessels carrying 500 people or less (passengers plus crew). This follows the direction provided by Transport Canada and the Public Health Agency of Canada.

The Halifax Port Authority will communicate with cruise lines, industry partners, tourism partners, and operators following this decision and adjust the cruise schedule accordingly. The health and well-being of our cruise guests and seafarers, our vendors, our staff and the greater public is our priority. We will work closely with partners to be ready to receive vessels once normal operations resume.
